The Company:
Our client based in Sydney’s south-west is a well established, well respected and well equipped engineering company supplying a diverse range of manufactured and fabricated products to various industry sectors including aerospace, automotive, defence, mining, marine an d precision engineering.

The company’s continued growth has created a position and an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing / Project Engineer to join a truly progressive Australian company and an experienced friendly team.
 

The Role:
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, your duties will include planning, managing and reporting on complex and major projects.
As an integral part of a highly effective team you will interface regularly with business unit managers, customers, supervisors, engineering designers and tradespeople to ensure assigned tasks are completed on-time, within budget and to customer's specifications.
You will manage these assigned projects from initial stages to completion with a pro-active approach and in accordance with company guidelines and principals including WHS and Confidentiality conformants.

The Candidate:
You have an outstanding appreciation of manufacturing methods and processes, machining and fabrication, and an innate ability to adapt and integrate resources whilst balancing conflicting time schedules.

In addition, you will satisfy the following essential criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant manufacturing engineering discipline
  • Experience working with MRP or ERP systems in a multi faceted engineering environment
  • Above average computer skills - eg. MS Project/Excel/Word/Outlook
  • Ability to comprehensively read and understand detailed and complex engineering drawings
  • Experience in design and industry standards
  • Well developed communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team

Highly regarded will be experience with CAD packages such as AutoCAD and CATTIA
